WHY

Of the 1,500 to 2,000 children killed each year by their caretakers, more than half die after they have come to the attention of child welfare agencies.

The Field Center brings together multiple disciplines and the nation’s foremost experts in child welfare to collaborate on reforming the systems that are responsible for protecting children.

Watch our video to see why the Field Center began its work on behalf of victims of child abuse and neglect.

HOW

The Field Center for Children’s Policy, Practice & Research utilizes an interdisciplinary model to:

integrate clinical care, research and education

inform local and national policy

prepare the nation’s future leaders
